RUFFLED

TOP C/O SHEIN (here)
LEVI’S SHORTS / THRIFTED
HEELS / ALDO
EARRINGS / PRETTYLITTLETHING

Another rare moment, wearing a color other than black AND ruffles. Girly much. Loved this top the moment I saw it, simply because the silhouette was so interesting. Not only that, but this top also combines the seasons off-shoulder trend with puff sleeves and pinstripes. I’m wearing a size XS and I’m petite af. Hope that helps *shrugs*.

For the first time in my life, I’ve worn a patterned top. Not any pattern. STARS. I once saw the owner of SaboSkirt, Thessy, wear a polka-dot top and I fell in love. Did I have the courage to wear something similar at that time…of course not. But the time has come, and IT’S LIT (jk, but for real it is). This Forever 21 top has subtle lace up detailing that only adds to the stars. I styled this outfit with a 70’s vibe in mind, hence the yellow tinted sunglasses. For being totally out of my comfort zone, I definitely felt most confident while shooting this outfit. A huge hug for the Forever 21 team, for allowing this collab to happen! More looks to come.

JEANS C/O FOREVER 21 (here)

BOOTS / PUBLIC DESIRE

If anybody as short as me has noticed, jeans can be very scary. They scrunch, they’re always sold out, and online shopping can be a nightmare. If a model is 5’9, and the jeans fit her perfectly at her ankle, just exit your browser. But what happens when a petite girl gets angry/creative? A DIY, that’s what. In this collaboration with Forever 21, I strategically picked out flare jeans with the sole intention of hacking off a chunk of the hem. Cropped flares look effortless on tall women, and I wanted a pair (that didn’t cost me an arm or leg, too). Why pay $60.00 for jeans that you can cut at home? This pair from Forever 21 are already distressed and have an interesting wash, so all that was missing was turning them into a pair that suit ME. Here’s how:

  1. Put your flares on and fold them as much as your heart desires. (Cropped flares are about 2 inches above the ankle)
  2. Secure them with pins and carefully take them off.
  3. Lay them flat on the floor and with measuring tape, measure the length you have folded.
  4. Remove the pins, measure the length you got in step 3 starting from the hem up, and draw a line with a white crayola where the measurement ends.
  5. Cut across, and distress with sandpaper or the blade of your scissors (or throw them in the wash and dryer, they all work).
  6. Wear them and rejoice in the fact that you saved about $3o.

In collaboration with Forever 21, I present to you my favorite shoot to date. I’ve picked up a couple of sweaters at Forever 21 before, but I have to say that I was absolutely surprised by the quality of this one in particular. I LOVE that the sleeves are extra long, because they gave me those Korean style vibes I’m into right now. So, sleeves [check], but what about the material? This sweater is T H I C K. The sweater alone kept me warm during the shoot, without having to layer a jacket over it. Next, the holy grail: my new ring belt. I’ve literally seen it on Korean celebrities, aswell as on the streets of Seoul. I had to do it, and I didn’t think twice about it. No regrets.

If you liked this outfit, stay tuned for more looks I’ve put together with Forever 21! #sponsored
