BUCKLE CHOKER/ EBAY (here)

I love distressed denim, period. Jeans, shorts, and now skirts. This skirt from Gamiss has become my favorite because of the frayed hem. Its a minor detail but it definitely makes a difference. The beauty about denim is that you can wear it a million ways: I would switch out the button up for a black bodysuit and a biker jacket, for example. Speaking of black, I was also drawn to this skirt while browsing the site. It also has a raw hem, but the white stitching is what makes it unique in my opinion. Moving on to my buckle choker, which I bought because I really wanted the AYAI Katya Choker. I found this super ultra cheap alternative on Ebay, yeah I said it.

More from Gamiss coming soon, and it is also white. Major hint alert. Keep up with Gamiss on their Facebook and Pinterest!

#BROKEGIRLSWISHLIST 2

guccidenimI love women’s clothing, but if I like something from the men’s section I have absolutely no shame. This denim jacket is the perfect example. Unfortunately I’m a #brokegirl, but fortunately I am determined. I’ve found two alternative options which would require a DIY (which I don’t mind).

  1. Boohoo Men’s Borg Lined Denim Jacket
  2. SheInside Boyfriend Denim Jacket

My favorite is option 1, but it is sold out in medium. I’m praying for a restock! Although the GUCCI denim jacket is embroidered, you can easily buy some patches on Amazon to achieve a similar look. I can’t wait to try this out myself.

WHAT I WORE: ZAFUL DRESS

HANDBAG/ DIOPHY
HEELS/ PUBLIC DESIRE

Back again with Zaful on today’s post! I know I don’t frequently wear colors, but this little dress caught my eye, and it caught Zuri off-guard. Off shoulder tops and dresses have been getting some hype, so I decided to try them out for myself. As you may or may not know, I am short (5’2 but my license says 5’1, whatever). because I am petite, I usually shy away from dresses that are not bodycon. I feel that my shape gets lost, so I tend to balance a baggy top with some nice Levi’s shorts, for example. This dress, on the other hand, was the perfect length for me, and the off shoulder details distract from the fact that is a relatively loose dress. It also has some flattering slits on each side, which I personally loved. The fabric was light and perfect for the Texas heat. Hallelujah.

Side Note: I recommend that you read the measurements, and pick the sizing accordingly.

WHAT I WORE: ZAFUL LACE BRA TOP

DENIM/ ASOS
WHITE CROP/ FOREVER 21
BOOTS/ BOOHOO

So first things first, as I explained in my baby tee post, the way to achieve the look is to buy a kids tee and cut it. I realized that while I was typing that post, and after I had taken these pictures, which is why the crop in this post has a scoop neck. It would have definitely looked much better with the cut kids tee, but hey, you live and you learn. The lace bra top, though, is one of my favorite pieces in my closet as of lately. If I’m daring enough, I’ll wear it by itself with a blazer on top when it gets cooler. So some of you might have heard of Zaful, and some of you might be absolutely clueless. I personally thought the price range was great, and the selection of clothing was trendy. Here are my top three pieces from Zaful: 1, 2, and 3. Aside from those, you can shop the bralette I am wearing here, and you can check out how I felt about the packaging here. I had never tried anything like this, but the layering trend going on right now is not bad at all. I am currently looking into purchasing a silky slip dress, and a silky top. Wish me luck.
